Agilent affinity removal columns

In the past, HPLC columns have not been the choice for protein fractionation because of low protein recovery. Proteomics scientists, therefore, use gel electrophoresis or other time consuming or irreproducible techniques.

Now there's a better choice. The Agilent Macroporous Reversed-phase C18 (mRP-C18) High-recovery Protein Fractionation Column offers greater than 95 percent protein recovery. In fact, greater than 98 percent recoveries have been observed with immunodepleted serum.

The Multiple Affinity Removal System is comprised of an individual LC column (High-Capacity or Standard) and optimized buffers designed to remove greater than 98%-99% of six interfering high-abundance proteins (albumin, IgG, IgA, transferring, haptoglobin, and antitrypsin) from human serum* or three proteins (albumin, IgG and transferring) from mouse serum samples.
