Quantity:
For blotting proteins to a membrane, anamed provides a Choice of 2 semi-dry blotter units: EcoBlot - 100 or EcoBlot 280 (which runs up to 9 blots stacked together simultaneously). Eco-Blot performs perfect blots in a minimum of time while being easy to use and offering superb efficiencyBoth units use synthetic carbon electrodes
EcoBlot - 100 semi dry blotter 10 x 10cm Ref: AN12015
Ref: V10-SDB
Designed for extremely uniform transfer of proteins using very low buffer volume and current of 0.8mA per cm3 of gel, produces very little heat, preventing band distortion. Transfers can be achieved in less than one hour depending on the molecular weight of the molecules being transferred. Either single gels or multiple gel stacks can be used with the units. These blotters contain long life, corrosion resistant electrodes. The anode is made from platinised titanium and the cathode from stainless steel making the units virtually corrosion free. Other semi-dry blotters contain carbon electrodes, which corrode leading to pits in their surface. pitted electrodes do not contact the gel sandwiches evenly during blotting and result in uneven transfer and poor results. Carbon electrodes can also put carbon deposits on the membranes.

Ref: EB10
This unit can be used to blot up to four gels, of 10 x 10cm. The user-replaceable electrode cassettes consist of densely coiled platinum wire which results in the generation of a very uniform electric field. The electrode separation is calculated for optimum transfer. The units have a water cooled base and a stirring bar can be placed under the compression cassettes to assist in temperature control. The compression cassettes can be locked to minimise gel movement during their insertion into the tank. An open square grid design for the cassettes provides a maximum area for transfer and is strong enough to maintain a firm contact between the gel and the transfer membrane.
Ref: EB20
Designed to provide a safe and easy to operate system, for the transfer of nucleic acids and proteins from a gel matrix onto a suitable transfer membrane. Two sizes of units can be used to blot up to four gels, of 10 x 20cm or 20 x 20cm. If only small gels are to be blotted an optional buffer saver block is available for the EB20 unit.
