Buccal swab systems

This latest development in buccal swab useage and transportation consists of the high yield Tswab plus a patented cap and swab head removal system.

The black cap has a hole with an attached plug. After sampling the swab shaft is threaded through the hole in the cap. The head and cap are inserted into a 2ml tube and the shaft of the swab withdrawn. This causes the head alone to fall into the microtube.

No liquid medium is required during transportation and the 2ml tubes make for direct use in the lysis step of the DNA extraction procedure.

Kit contains 1 swab, 1x2ml microtube, 1 insert cap stopper in blister packs (100 pack)

The swab has a break point that allows the bottom 2cm of the swab and the head to be dropped and transported in the tube. No liquid is needed for swab preservation or storage during postage.
