Optimised for running Protein and DNA Electrophoresis in thin polyacrylamide gels cast on a support film. Gels up to 25 x 25cm may be run on this unit or more normally 12.5 x 25cm. All protein techniques can be run, and we provide gels for IEF, SDS and Native separations as well as DNA techniques such as SSCP. The highly efficient cooling platen offers excellent control of temperature when hooked up to a suitable circulator. The cooling plate is constructed of aluminium and no buffer tanks are required. Buffer consumption is minimised as a unique wick based system is employed for all electrophoretic techniques - except IEF gels that require no wicks.

The unit is supplied with two electrodes although a third electrode may be added offering a doubling of sample throughput for DNA electrophoresis or Isoelectric focusing.

Product consists of: 1 basic unit including cooling plate, 1 safety lid with 2 platinum electrodes, 2 pairs of connecting cables for power supplier (3-->1mm connectors and 3-->3mm connectors) 3m cooling tubing complete with 2x3 way valves, 1 manual.
