IEF Systems
Horizontal Gel Systems can be used to run our wide range of thin layer horizontal gels, manufactured by ETC. We have gels in this format available for Iso Electric Focusing, Native Protein Electrophoresis, and SDS Page. These gels do not require large volumes of buffer like traditional vertical systems and cleaning between runs simply involves wiping clean the ceramic top plate. They can be used to run up to 52 samples per gel. We also supply high resolution gels for running DNA samples whereby DNA's with 2bp difference can be separated. These types of gels require a high voltage power supply and a chiller unit to cool the ceramic plate. |
