The ampholine-cocktail forming the pH-gradient in the electric field was never in contact with the polymerization chemicals: No destroying and no aging of the ampholines occurs as low resolution and thick brown stripes after the staining. FocusGels are polymerised under speacil conditions - not including ampholytes - to obtain an optimal gel matrix. A special ampholytic cocktail is infused into the gel-matrix to ensure an optimal pH-gradient formation without chemical degradation. Shelf life 6 months.

CleanGels are washed and dried horizontal gels. They must be rehydrated in a CleanPool before use. All horizontal gels can be cut into half or a third or a size adapted to the number of samples.
