Zone-FreeTM films are unique double-layer films consisting of a clear, easily-pierceable, adhesive-free polyethylene film bonded to a 96-well-die-cut white adhesive polypropylene sublayer. This combination provides an adhesive-free zone over each well while ensuring a secure seal around the rim and between wells.

Designed for 96-well microplates where well-to-well contamination and crossover is of critical concern, the easy-piercing film allows for direct sample recovery with single and multi-channel pipettors or robotic probes. The adhesive-free zone above each well prevents adhesive fouling of the pipet tip or probe, ultimately minimizing the amount of adhesive that comes into contact with the sample.

Consists of easily pierceable 70µm thickness polyethylene with an acrylic adhesive. Piercing allows direct sample recovery with single or multichannel pipettors and robotic probes. These unique films include a printed 96 well alpha numeric template for easy well location and a colour dot and white writing area on each end tab for plate ID labelling. End tabs with backing removed adhere to the ends of the plate and are perforated so they can be left in place to maintain plate identity even if the centre portion of the film is removed.
