Bacitracin is a peptide antibiotic and shows antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria. It inhibits bacterial cells wasll synthesis by inhibiting dephosphorylation of lipid pyrophosphate.
Immobilized Bacitracin is made by covalently coupling bacitracin to 6% cross linked agarose and is used for isolating bacitracin binding proteins, receptors and specific antibodies.

Bacitracin coupled to 6% cross-linked Agarose
Coupling is covalent through linkage of amino or carboxyl group depending upon the antibiotic to the pre-activated agarose.
Available in 5 ml and 10 ml sizes
