Hygromycin B is an aminocyclitol with a wide spectrum of activity that kills bacteria, fungi and higher eukaryotic cells by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is produced by the bacterium Streptomyces hygroscopicus.
Immobilized Hygromycin B is made by covalently coupling hygromycin B to 6% cross linked agarose and is used for isolating hygromycin B binding proteins, receptors and specific antibodies.

Hygromycin B coupled to 6% cross-linked Agarose
Coupling is covalent through linkage of amino or carboxyl group depending upon the antibiotic to the pre-activated agarose.
Available in 5 ml and 10 ml sizes
